West Devon Referees’ Association

A QUEST Bronze Standard Association

NOTICE BOARD

I am pleased to announce that Devon FA have a new County Referee Appointments Officer in place for the 2015/16 season.
Jason Hawkins has been appointed to fulfil this role and will be appointing referees on behalf of Devon FA.
Jason will be making the referee appointment for some preseason matches, Devon FA County Cups, Optimus Pm Plymouth & West Devon League, Devon Girls League, Plymouth Universities BUCS Competitions, FA Competitions and the South West Peninsula League assisting Paul Murphy.
All other competitions will be appointed as last season by the referee officers within the league structure.
Jason can be contacted at jason.hawkins@devonfa.com, his mobile number will be distributed shortly.
I am sure you will join me in wishing Jason good luck in his new role.
League Referee Panels
As we have taken on the role of appointing referees to the Devon Girls League and the Plymouth Universities Bucs games, we are looking to increase our panel of referees on these leagues.
Games in the Devon Girls League are normally played on a Sunday afternoon and BUCS games on a Wednesday afternoon.
Referees will not be asked to travel too far on Devon Girls League games and BUCS games are all played in Plymouth.
If you would like to be involved in these competitions then please let Jason Hawkins know at jason.hawkins@devonfa.com.

Closed Dates
It is imperative that referees close their dates for County Cups. To make this easier we have one email address that you can close dates at which is
closeddates@devonfa.com
This means that you can send your closed dates to one email address covering Jason and I.

Respect
Have you seen some great behaviour at a game or something that gives you concern?
If you witness any behaviour that you think is not right but is outside of your normal remit as a referee then you can now report this via respect@devonfa.com, and we can then investigate further.
It could be a particularly aggressive parent, a disrespecting manager or indeed an act of respect during a match that you think should be mentioned.
You can report good or bad behaviour!

As ever, if you have any issues or concerns then please feel free to contact me.
Regards,
Jason Haywood
